The UAE Tour Women is the second stage race on the WorldTour calendar following the Tour Down Under, taking place in the United Arab Emirates from Thursday 6th-Sunday 9th February 2025.

Last year’s edition was won by SD Worx-Protime’s Lotte Kopecky by 13 seconds ahead of Canyon-SRAM’s Neve Bradbury. Kopecky’s teammate Lorena Wiebes kicked off the race with back-to-back sprint victories on the flat stages and returns to the race to begin her 2025 season.

UAE Tour Women 2025 stage-by-stage preview

The UAE Tour Women 2025 has a similar parcours to last year. Two flatter stages for the sprinters precede a day for the climbers on Stage 3 to Jebel Hafeet. The race then closes out with another flatter sprint stage for the final day.

Stage 1, Thursday 6th February: Dubai – Dubai, 149km

First Cycling

The UAE Tour Women 2025 begins with a pan-flat stage around Dubai. The peloton heads out towards sprint points at the Safari Park and Al Qudra Cycletrack before turning back on themselves and finishing at Dubai Harbour.

Stage 2, Friday 7th February: Al Dhafra – Al Mirfa, 111km

First Cycling

Kicking off where Stage 2 finished last year, it’s another flat day. Crossing over 60km of desert, the final 10km takes place on a wide, straight road.

Stage 3, Saturday 8th February: Al Ain - Jebel Hafeet, 152km

First Cycling

Ah, some elevation. Stage 3 is, with some additional kilometres, a carbon copy of the previous year when Kopecky won on the slopes of the 10.8km Jebel Hafeet, which averages 7% but peaks at 11% 3km from the finish.

Stage 4, Sunday 9th February: Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi, 128km

First Cycling

The final stage of the UAE Tour Women 2025 heads in the direction of the Yas Marina Circuit, home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, for an intermediate sprint.

From there, riders will race towards Abu Dhabi Breakwater where the victor will be crowned.

UAE Tour Women 2025 favourites

Giro d'Italia

The race's two-year history dictates that the winner on Stage 3 to Jebel Hafeet will the overall champion thanks to flat stages doing nothing to separate those in the GC. It was the case for Kopecky in 2024 and Lidl-Trek's Elisa Longo Borghini in 2023.

Cyclist's GC ratings

  • ★★★★★: Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx-Protime), Elisa Longo Borghini (UAE Team ADQ)
  • ★★★★: Neve Bradbury (Canyon-SRAM-Zondacrypto)
  • ★★★: Mavi García (Liv-AlUla-Jayco)
  • ★★: Juliette Labous (FDJ-Suez)
  • ★:

(GC ratings to be updated with start list).
